6 hours to spare!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
She is finished....
This is my Mirabilia White Christmas.
I'm so proud that I stuck to my guns and got her finished today with 6 hours in 2009 left over...LOL..

The beads and treasures are amazing...Thanks again to Christin for gifting them to me in the spring.
I added Swarovski Crystals instead of the millhill beads in the windows...just a bit more bling for me!!

I know that is cutting it close. I just wanted to get her done before I go ahead with the next BIG Project .. in my case it's the Desert Mandela by Chatelaine, I know that Kathy will be working on hers as well and hopefully Christin.

Have a safe and warm Holiday everyone and stitch with happy fingers..
See you in the New Year!!
Hugs,
Beatrice

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Almost done!!!!!

Here she is White Christmas, only needing the beads, treasures and Wisper.
All of the cross stitching in DMC is done.
I wonder if I'll have it ready by the end of the year..One week to go ...hmmmmm??

The area in the shawl is where the White Wisper goes.
That will be my next step then all the beads.
I have been enjoying this SAL so much.
Have a look at the Mira blog to see more of these wonderful stitches!

Today is Christmas Eve, and I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!

Thank you for sharing you stitching lives with me and also all of the tidbits about your friends and loved ones.
I treasure the friendships I have made and am proud to know all of you.
You have all inspired me .

Stitch with Happy Fingers.

I've been stitching..

As you can see I've been working on the HAED ...this has page 2 nearly done.
I was hoping to finish this page before the New Year but it took a back seat to some holiday stitching. I've also been stitching on my Mirabilia...It's so close I can taste it..I'll post a photo of it soon.

This ornament has a story.
At the fall retreat Clare (no Blog) had stitched a small ornie...just like this one. I fell in love with it and the next thing you know she gave me a piece of fabric and some thread ..also the pattern and I was on my way to making this sweet little thing.
It is on 40ct... YES 40....linen and the thread is DMC variegated.1 over 2. There are 160 beads, yup I counted them.
I gave it to a very good friend of mine for Christmas.
Thank you Clare for enabling me. I love it and am no longer afraid of any ct. If I can do 25ct 1over1 or 40 ct 1over2. I can pretty much stitch anything. I enjoyed the challenge.

Have a good day

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT IT WORKED!

Hello Everyone,
After 2 months of not blogging ..here I am.
My Husband upgraded my computer and it is now" letting" me stay on line long enough to post a blog and to go on facebook for more then 2 min. at a time.
Yippee.
I'm not sure if I can comment yet but I have been able to look at posts through google reader.
I've missed you all and I hope I can get back in the swing of things.
I'm stitching lots and I will start to show my work again as I go along.

This is a pillow that my mom did for me a couple of years ago. I thought the Christmas theme would be fun to get in the groove.

The next piece you will recognize I'm sure.
After waiting a bit I took it in this week and lo and behold I picked it up from the framer TODAY!!!!!!!
I'm thrilled with how it turned out.

My whole inside of the house is all freshly painted so I'll find a nice spot to hang it.

Please know I didn't give up on blogging...I just gave up waiting for this @#$$^& ing computer.
Blogger just didn't like me much.

I'll be back,
Stitch with happy fingers.

A finish and a start

I finally finished my Boo Club flip it's by Lizzie Kate.. It seems I worked on this forever and I even left out 2 words because I didn't have enough fabric.

I'll be making it into a banner this week so my Mom can hang it on her door at the retirement home where she lives.

Of course where there is a finish there has to be a start...you know me.
I bought this chart at Ann's this summer and just couldn't wait to start it.
The colours are so much prettier than the photo.

Isn't it bright!!!! I love it.The fabric is butter yellow...hmmmm... doesn't really show in the photo. I'll try and take one in the daylight tomorrow.
This will be a fun stitch. I worked on it a few nights. So it should work up fairly quickly.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian friends and stitch with happy fingers.

My Oh My...It's been a long time

I've been reading the blogs and realized that it's about time I started up again. Summer is over ...as a matter of fact we are having a rainy fall day! The leaves are turning and things are cooling down.
I hope you all had a great summer and are enjoying the fall.

I started a RR Mirabilia for myself ..the ladies I stitch with on Thursdays will be adding to it.
This is my contribution. Lots of bling and beads! (Christmas Flourishes)

I'm also working on Lizzie Kate Boo Club. I noticed I miscalculated the fabric length so am leaving 2 of the flips out for now. Hmm it looks OK to me. Almost done.

HAED ia 2/3 through the 2nd page. I really like working on it. Just don't seem to have enough time for all of these.
You know me lots of projects...LOL.

Last but not least the SAL Miabilia. White Christmas. Better than half way !
I'm going to try and keep up my posts from now on again. I had lost my MOJO but seem to be on track again.
Take care all and stitch with happy fingers.

Back at it

It seems I've lost my blogging mojo.
I don't know why...I can only think I've been sitting and stitching a lot.
I've also spent a lot of time weeding and weeding all this rain sure helps those weeds to grow!
I have also started singing again in a small group and that seems to work for me. I enjoy the challenge,
I'm sorry to say that the choir that I was with is now practicing on Sunday eve. and I had to quit. I'm not prepared to give up my Sunday with my Family especially my Mom. So for now I'm off to new adventures.

Please know I've been looking at the blog's I follow and love to see the stitching that is going on.

It's all so wonderful. I guess that helps me to keep on stitching. I want to do all of those lovely pieces I see!!

I'm really enjoying the HAED. 1 over 1 is so much fun.

My Mirabila SAL is going great guns.

Boo club is so colourful. and nice and simple to work on.

That is a pleasure after the HAED So my rotation is going well. I have a couple of little things on the go that I will show when they are done.

It's almost the weekend so I will say have a good one and " Stitch with Happy Fingers! "

p/s notice nothing new at the moment...I'm feeling the urge...soooooon!!!!

Back to normal

This was a very Hectic week for me. I decided to have a yard sale soooo...got ready for that and then I was called in to work 2 days to help out during holidays. I'm surprised I had time to stitch!
Things went well at the yard sale, mind you that was my first one and my last one. Too much work for a small return.

Ann had a RR that needed a few more stitchers so I volunteered to add my little piece. I used a bit from a magazine and modified it to my liking.

I like how it turned out.

I also did quite a bit on my HAED I can still see the line but I approached it from the other side and it is a bit better. The rest of the pages will be staggered on the sides so that won't happen again!

The weather has finally turned warm! Summer is here!
I hope you all have a great week and Stitch with happy fingers!

She's DONE !!!!!!

After much procrastination and many other pieces stitched I finally finished this wonderful lady with her reindeer.
I started this 2 years ago so she needed to be out of my UFO bag.
I'm so pleased with her!

Tomorrow I'll be going stitching with a few ladies from my area and (my Mom). We will be meeting up with Dani and Christin at Beth's (no Blog) in Kingston. We always have so much fun together and We eat well too!!!
I know we will be taking pictures so I'll post them at the beginning of the week.

I'm having company today so I've got to go...but... I just had to share my Happy dance with you.
Yippee!!!
Stitch with happy fingers and see you soon.

Pretty in Pink

I put a few stitches on the Mirabilia tonight.

I've been busy getting the room back together after having it painted. This is the Spare bedroom and we had a lot of stuff in it so, I'm weeding it out before it goes back in.
There will be a yard sale in August.

In the mean time not too much stitching.
The weather has been just awful soooo I don't feel bad about being inside all day.

I hope you all are having a great weekend and get lots of stitching done,
See you again soon,
Stitch with happy fingers.

Another fob

I made this fob for my Mom. I'll be giving it to her for her Birthday next month. Aug 15 she will be 93.
Kathy and I found these little scissors at Fabric Land in Whitby a couple of weeks ago. I picked up a pair for Mom. They were fobless so I fixed that.
I also applied for my passport that day and received it in the mail yesterday. So....there's no holding me back now!!!

I did get some stitching done on the HAED.
Things have been a bit upside down here because we are having some painting done inside.
So far it is looking good. I love the colours We picked.
When it is put back together I'll post a photo.

Have a good day and stitch with happy fingers.

Beads,friends, food and stitching!

This was such a great weekend...
I learned to make a fob with beads. (for my new Henckle scissors)
Thanks for giving us the lesson on how too.....
I'm going to ask you to have a look at Dani's blog here. Because I would just be repeating everything. she took terrific pictures and posted them.

We stitched and laughed and had a great time at Kathy's for the weekend.
Thanks Kathy for such a nice time and great food.

I did manage to do some stitching ...I finally took out the flip it's and started them. This is the Lizzie Kate Boo Club Flip it's. A nice stitch to do when you are laughing and not really paying too much attention.

Have a good day everyone and stitch with happy fingers!!!!

I have the fabric to make it into a table cloth but need to show it off first!

Long Dog Samplers Paradigm Lost......

It's Time....

.....to show you the clock I made!

This was a little chart that Kathy A. gave me and this is how it turned out..Isn't it fun!!!
I bought a cheap clock and took it apart..ahemmm I mean my DH did...
And then we put it together again with this cute piece I stitched into it.

I have been doing some other stitching and this is from the 2007 ornament issue.
The chart is a Sweetheart Tree. I added the little heart and my initial to make it my own.
The fabric is 28ct white opalescence evenweave .

Kathy and I went on a road trip today and stopped at a couple of fabric shops . This is what I came home with...
This Halloween piece grabbed me as I was going out the door and wouldn't let me leave without it. I bought a half a meter. I have no idea at this time what I'll do with it but something will come up!
The mauve fabric is to finish my Paradigm Lost...it's so close to being done. Probably tomorrow.
I'll post it when it is.
I plan on turning it into a table cloth and the colour of this is perfect for it. It has some gold shiny stuff on it and I love bling!

The white is a pretty sparklie piece for a cushion.
I have my sewing cut out for me.

We had a great day!!
Now back to my PL...see you soon.
Stitch with happy fingers and have a good weekend!

She's not done yet

Dani asked where she is...well she is being worked on but not done yet.
She is so pretty.
I have a couple of pieces that are so close and I seem to work on one for a few days at a time. Not my usual rotation. Just to try to get lots done on each of them.

Today I put a few stitches on the Ice Dragon [HAED] maybe 200 or so. It was like a new start...a new page!

Have a good day and
Stitch with happy fingers.

Updates

The Mailman cometh!!!

I was just thrilled to find this sitting on my stitching chair when I got home today.
Ann of Knowledge and Needles sent me this most lovely NEW T.W. design. Isn't it pretty??
The thread is Wildflowers "Lemon N Lime"
When I was helping Ann set-up the store at the college 2 weeks ago, I sorted threads and colours and came across this one. I must have said it out loud that this was my favorite one. Green is my Colour...any Green!!!

Thank you so much for your generous gift Ann!!!

Have a look at her blog for the new look in the shop. Judie and I helped her put it back together again...Just like Humpty Dumpty!!!

Now you may remember the story [click here if you don't] about the yarn gone missing.
Well it was found and woven into this Swedish Weaving Afghan by little ol' me.
Thank you Kathy for the tutorial on the finishing. It turned out quite lovely if I do say so myself.

I have also been working on my HAED and Mira.
Page one is complete on the HAED...oh boy oh boy..I new start.. even if it is just a page, it feels BIG!!!!!

My Mom and I want to THANK YOU for all of the nice comments. She was quite thrilled.
I even had her siting at the computer scrolling and reading the comments.

Have a good week and Stitch with happy fingers.
