WARNING.

Just a quick note to let you know that someone is leaving comments on our blogs that could be corrupted.

PLEASE beware not to open a comment from someone you don't know or only leave a word that says open here. That could be a problem.
I had one on mine and I know TeeJay had one on hers.
I hate when people do things like this , what fun could they possibly get out of it?
So Please Beware.!!

I DIDN'T have any bad results at this time. And I hope you don't either.

All the best and stitch with happy fingers.

As Promised

Yesterday as promised I worked on the Paradigm Lost. I also took it with me to the Thursday stitching group. It is a nice piece to work on when you're visiting.
I certainly enjoy this one.

Here is a close-up of one of the motifs. I like the birds.
I really didn't know they were there until I started to stitch them. I don't think I've checked out the whole piece yet. It will all be a surprise as I stitch along.

Have a nice evening and I will see you in a few days. Back to work for the weekend..Friday and Saturday..

March Ornament

I put all of my larger project aside so I could work on an ornament. It isn't a Christmas ornament but I thought it would make a nice gift for someone. Not necessarily a Christmas gift that way.

This is a small take out from a chart in the Stoney Creek Feb issue.

I needed to do a little piece for the accomplishment of a finish. This should be done this week.
I intend to stitch on the Paradigm Lost today...and probably tomorrow. Missed it last week.

We had another snow storm last night that left us with about 2" of snow but today the sun is shining and it is a beautiful day. I'm sitting in the sun here in the kitchen and I must say it is warm. AHHHHHH. That is so nice to say!

I hope you all have sunshine today and get lots of stitching in.

She's a Beauty !

A Victorian Christmas Eve!!!

This is a piece that my Mother finished this week. I want to share this with you because she will be 92 this year and is still working on evenweave. This has whisper and many beads. I know the picture doesn't do it justice....But trust me she is a beauty. SO is my MOM.

You can click the photo to see all the beads and the Whisper!

I'm not sure which Magazine this was out of, but she received the chart from a friend and I'm sure it was a magazine chart.

We will be framing this one soon!

Best Wishes

This post is to wish Ann of Knowledge and Needles a very Happy Birthday today. She always does so much for us and I wanted her to know how much she is appreciated. Judy was thoughtful in getting her a cake for us to share on Thursday... here she is in the foreground getting ready to blow out the candles.

Moonlight Guardian

As you can see I have the frame...[border] done around the outsides. The corners are done with sparklie thread and it looks prettier than you can see.

I also posted my Paradigm Lost on the Snowbird blog SAL.

Have a look at all the wonderful Pieces that folks are posting.

This week is very busy for me. I will try and keep up with reading blogs but I won't get much stitching done.
Singing in a church Choir at Easter [Holy week] keeps the evenings tied up Thus. Fri. Sat. And Sunday morning. It's a commitment I have made for years!

If I stitch I will post it as soon as I can!

A quick Hello

A little update on my stitching.

Wednesday I went to Toronto to the convention center to see " Canada Blooms".
It is a lovely bit of spring as you can see the Tulips [my favorite].

The whole building is planted with flowers and garden displays. It has a huge market as well. We went by bus so it was a lovely day.

This girl was doing a sand sculpture it was amazing!

I have to work on the weekend so I thought I would try and catch up with you tonight.
Have a nice weekend and stitch with happy fingers.

What else...SNOW !!

As
You can see our area got bombarded with snow yesterday and last night.

I did get to work at 8am [yes my DH got the driveway plowed out so I could get to work on time]. When I got there the power was out in the area so I waited in the shop and decided to go to McD's for coffee. Apparently a snowplow hit a hydro pole and knocked out a transformer. After 3 hours we headed home. It was snowing so hard it took me 45 min.[ 20 min drive]. I stopped for milk and made it home safe and sound.

Today was a very interesting day. I don't normally clean snow, Terry has a truck with a plow and a snowblower.
Today the truck got stuck in the driveway [4x4] Yup stuck. We worked on it for an hour and then I said I think we should call CAA. I did and he was here in about 1 1/2 hrs. Not bad.
Next the Snowblower blew a belt so while waiting for the tow the belt got replaced.
In the mean time I cleaned a bit of the front sidewalk for emergency purposes I might have been the emergency...I was VERY careful for those of you that know I have angina. I'm fine!

The pictures tell the tale. That is not the sidewalk I cleaned!

I wonder if the dogs realize that the fence is only 1 foot from the top of the snow. They could almost step over it...lol . Fortunately they are heavy and push the snow down. That is a 4 ft fence.

I did stitch on MG last night so I showed that as well!

I hope you all stay warm and and those of you that are in a warm climate...stay there. We have more to come.

It is March Break in Ontario.
So I imagine the kids are happy with this to ski and play in the snow.

A little of both!

I did stitch on the MG but not too much to show.

I also pulled out the Angel if I put it away too long I seem to forget she exists. I did quiet a bit on her today at the Thursday stitching group.
The reindeer's head is finished. He has a lot of body. So more of the same colours. He does still need to be back stitched but you get the idea.

Paradigm Lost got some attention yesterday. So I also posted it on the SAL Blog.

Off to yet another Choir practice tonight. That is 4 this week. This keeps up I should apply for pay...LOL. Now that I'm nearly retired I spend more time singing then working.

Have a great day!

Lots to show!!

First of all I had a great time at Ann's open house. I bought lots of stash and I thought I'd show you some of it. Some people were talking about doing a Miriabilia for a SAL in 2009...I know that's along way away. But I found the one I would do.
She is -White Christmas- I bought the fabric as well. Jazlyn even weave-Amaretto-. The colour is perfect.
Next I have a Châtelaine...The Alpine seasons garden. The fabric will be Lugana even weave -Mushroom- I don't know when that will get started but I love it!!!

Here are the rest of the charts I picked up.

Last but not least Dani brought me the fabric to re- start the Moonlight Guardian. So I did. I'm 8 weeks behind so guess what I will be working on a bit more for a few weeks.

I hope you all have a good week and stitch with happy fingers.
