It's a Start

Yesterday was the day Kathy went across the border..BOO HOO... so she made the Decision that is when she was starting the Paradigm Lost. So needless to say I did too.
I know I'm not alone. I will post a photo on the Snowbird SAL as well, have a look at how many folks are doing the SAL. Most are starting today and tomorrow which is great, so there will be post for a day or 2.

In the mean time I started my Ornament exchange. I had to work but it wasn't busy so I managed a small bit.
I won't post that until my partner has received it in Nov. I love the exchanges.

Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone.
Stay safe.

Worked on Lucky

Hi All. Thank you for all of your lovely comments.
We had a wonderful weekend even though I did work on Friday and Saturday. I enjoyed my evening.....Watched the world series ball game and STITCHED. Lucky got a lot of attention and he is coming along.
Sunday the weather was gorgeous and was a none stitching day but spent all day with my family and had a wonderful dinner at my DB and DSL with my DH and Mom.

Today will be Tour des Marques after I do all those awful houseworky things..LOL.

Just a quick note I want to thank Kim ..The real life adventures...for the comment about finding a lost post. She emailed me with the info...Google reader and I will be studying that! apparently we CAN find it there. [I need to do some homework]
So I ask you readers to have a look at her blog she is a lovely stitcher and I'm sure would like to hear from my stitching friends as well.

Have a great day and stitch with happy fingers.

Itty bitty fob

Last week I bought a bit of Navy Blue even weave from Knowledge and Needles. So I decided to make this little fob.
It is 2" square. I used a DMC verigated thread.
The pattern is from Paradigm lost. Both sides.
The motif and the B.
It turned out pretty nice I think.
It was just for fun.

Today I was talking to Kathy and realized I hadn't posted my Witch finished ...so...Here she is.

Now I have to apologize, it seems I deleted my last post.
When I was doing this one I had put the wrong photo up so I deleted it and started over. when I looked at it I realized that I had clicked the wrong one .We tried everything to recover it but no luck. I guess when it's gone it's gone.
I feel bad because it was Becky's biscornu one and I do still have the photo. Thank goodness for that.
Thank you for the comments. I do get them on Email so I have those!!

About a month ago some of us joined a Biscornu exchange with Dani.
Well this is the one I made for Becky.
I heard from her yesterday and she said it arrived, so now I can show it off.
I love how it turned out and I'm so happy she said she Loves it.

It was my first exchange and I was a bit nervous about sending something to someone I don't know.. but thanks to this exchange I feel I have made a new friend in Becky.
We have been in touch and that is so nice!!

I'm am waiting for mine to arrive and when it does I will share a photo of it for you.

Dragon Dreams freebie

Last year I stitched this little dragon for my DH for his birthday. April is the month of the diamond and this little guy is holding one. It was a freebie on the Dragon Dreams Site and was given to me by a friend.

I also have a bit of an update on my TW castle.
Things are coming along pretty good with it.
I won't be finished before I start the,
Paradigm Lost...Longdogs Samplers. But it will be reasonably close.

Please have a look at the new blog set up for a SAL if you haven't yet. We are open for stitchers to join. I will be doing PL.

I'm off to watch the Baseball game on TV.
I love it I can stitch and listen. The replays are wonderful.
Have a great day!

Biscornu for a friend

This Thursday Kathy and I gave a friend of ours a biscornu at the Thursday stitching group.
Judy has been working on a piece for a year or more and always says she will be glad when she never has to see another.. *#*:"!!..cow.
Well the piece is a barnyard and has cows with quits on them and lots of trees....It's huge.
Any way we figure she will miss her cows because she is making it for her DD.so....We made some of her own.
Kathy did one side and I did the other the same.
While she was in Texas I put it together and then we gave it to her this week.
It is so funny and I know she loved it,
Now she has to put it under lock and key so her DD doesn't steal it from her .LOL
We enjoyed making it for you Judy [She doesn't blog but does read them]
So Kathy here are the Photo's ! Aren't they cute??

oh yes here are the Photo's of the pillows I made for Dani and Christin.
And the pillow I made for Kathy.
I guess I was busy over the last couple of weeks,
I still have a biscornu out there and can't show it yet.
Have a great day all and Stitch with happy fingers1

A Round Robin

A couple of years ago we talked about doing a Round Robin at our Thursday stitching group and so I was elected to pick out the first one. This is mine...I picked out the freebie International bears and we all stitched one. When they were done I put it together as a lap quilt...My first attempt at that as well.
I am so proud of this piece! It is on the bed all the time so I can see it every day.

This week I stitched a few stitches on a few pieces! Not much to show. That is why I showed the quilt.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and stitch with happy fingers.

I'm really impressed with a show called Tudors...But it is on CBC so I don't know if it is in the USA.
There is a link for it HERE

The colors are changing very fast and I like the yellow as well as the reds.
I'm going to try to stitch this afternoon on my Christmas..M designs.
There is a new blog to check out if you are interested, It is a SAL blog called The Snowird's Blog

Yippee. I got it.

Yesterday I went to Kingston to help my DSIL clean up some things at our Aunts house. So I took the opportunity to go to Chapters. I was so happy to find the ornament magazine. We have been looking for it for weeks.
I picked up an Extra one for Kathy as she is away. I would never live it down if I only bought one...LOLNot having been able to do much stitching yesterday I thought I would share this piece with you.
I stitched it last year for Halloween.
I did a bit of quilted finish on It. I'm not much of a quilter but I enjoyed doing this !!!!
I found the chart in an older magazine. [Maybe a year or two.] I'm sure I can find it if I need to.

The weather today is so nice 24*C and a nice breeze. Hard to believe it's October.
Well have a great day everyone and Stitch with happy fingers.

SAL on the tower

Today was a productive day. Sometimes you just have to relax and today was a day for that. Other than the regular housework and laundry thing...I had a great day.
Thank you all for your comments. I had too much on my plate. I am getting back on track and the Tour des Marques is one thing that was neglected. I managed to put a few stitches on it and I enjoyed it a lot.

The Halloween is a piece that my Mom did and I finished it for her yesterday. I love how it turned out.!!!
I do most of her finishes for her now. It's easier for me here at home. Her room is small so all the finishing supplies are stored here. I laced this and put quilting batting under it and covered the back with Mat board added the ribbon to hang it before I put the back on.

She Hangs these on her door at the retirement center where she lives and people are always looking for a new piece.
It is so nice to hear from you and I look forward to your comments. Have a great day and stitch with happy fingers.
