Blackwork...May ornament

This little Elephant is stitched on 32ct evenweave as my May ornament. It was a very rainy day today and when it wasn't raining I couldn't go out side because of the humidity and mosquito's.

So I pretty much stayed in and stitched. I realized that I hadn't done an ornament for May. So here he is. The pattern was given to me on Thursday. I collect Elephants so I had to do him. He is pretty I think.

Have a good weekend and stitch with happy fingers.

Bling has more Wing

As you can see Bling has a pretty good looking wing. It still requires a bit of bling threads through out but it is coming along. What a nice piece to work on. I'm so glad that I changed the fabric. I love the feel of this even weave..have a look way back when....

PL has seen some attention as well. Now the Back stitching needs to be done on this motif.

Stitching has been limited....Spring you know ....Garden, Golf and so on!

I'm going to catch up on some blogs now!

Have a great day and stitch with happy fingers.
I'm trying to not stitch with dirty gardening fingers...LOL

Finally some stitching

My Wednesday project is the PL and I finally put some stitches into it this week. I should be able to get back on track now. It is coming along nicely. I just realized that I have to finish the backstitching on the piece above the one I'm working on. I chose not to do it while I was sick. I'd better not forget..lol.

The scenic farm is quite nice to work on Adia and Half crosses. Goes quickly.

And of course MG I have a name for the dragon. He has been Christened BLING. now that he has a wing I felt I could call him by name.

Lucky has been hung on the wall and is very happy in his new home.
Thank you for all the lovely comments about Lucky. I'm very happy with the frame work.

I am also working on a RR that we are doing at the Thursday group. A mother has asked us if we would do one for her DD so I'm not sure about posting it. I will find out and if so I will show it when it is done.

Have a wonderful day and HAPPY VICTORIA DAY to my Canadian readers.

A Lucky Day!

Stitching has been at a minimum this week but I did pick up my framed TW. and I'm very pleased with the results.

I've taken a bit of a break and I'm pretending I'm on holidays....a long one ....now that I'm retired.

I've been Gardening , golfing and Lunching.

So far so good.
I have done a bit of stitching in the evenings and I will post them later this weekend.

Have a good "Victoria Day" long weekend those of you that are here in Canada.

Take care and stitch with happy fingers.

Full House

It's a grand night for singing was the name of our concert and it was that for sure.
We had a great turn out....Full house.

The theater is a small venue and the acoustics are amazing. It holds 350 people and we had about 20 tickets left over.

have a look at more photos if you like here

The group photo was taken at the warm-up before the concert so not all were in costume as yet ...but you get the Idea.

I was the soloist and sang.... 'What I Did for love.' from Chorus Line.
THANK YOU for your encouragement! I was so pleased to have recovered from my bit of illness so I could perform.

I intend to get back to my stitching now.
Stitch with happy fingers.
See you soon!

May Ornament

I felt I should do a small ornament. I have so many large projects on the go that I need to stop and regroup.
This was my way of doing that, a little finish always makes me feel good.
This is from The Gift of Stitching on line Magazine. Dec 2006 pg. 4.

Click on the photo to see the pretty beads.

I will put my name and the name of the person who receives it, on the back when I'm ready to put it together in the fall.
We usually have an ornamentification day around here and get them all done at once we have a lot of fun doing that. [Thursday stitcher's group]

My stitching mo-jo is a little weak right now and so is my blogging. I 'll get back to it after the concert . Right now we are practicing 3 times a week. The concert is on Sat. May 10. We are ready for sure.

Stitch with happy fingers and I'll see you all soon.

Look at this!

Kathy gave me this sweet pair when I went to stitch with her on Tuesday with a few other ladies in our Thursday group. One for retiring and one because she loves me.
Aren't they the cutest? I have a jungle theme in my bath room so that is where they will live.

Thank you so much Kathy I love them.

I'm also so glad you are back. Knowing you are 12 min. away is more fun then 1200 miles.

I did a bit of stitching on the Scenic farm. Lots of half stitches.

Have a wonderful day and stitch with happy fingers.
