Framed

As you know yesterday I posted about the little piece I was doing for a gift for a Red Hat Lunch.
Well here it is. I finished it in the afternoon and Today I put it in the frame.
I'm happy with the way it turned out! The name of our Group is the "Decadent Dames" so I added the name and year. I hope it will make someone happy.
The lunch isn't until April the 20th. But I don't like pressure so decided to get 'r done!!!

Today I'll be working on a Wip..not sure which one will jump out at me. Probably the ornament that I would like to finish before the end of the month. Then I would be 2 for 2.

Have a great day all and stitch with happy fingers!

Boy I need to catch up !

I finally have a day that I can catch up with my blogging. I have been stitching.

First of all : I did some on the PL...Back stitching so there is not a lot to show. I thought I would do it on the big motif so when I move on to the next page it will be done.

The star: is an ornament from the 2007 Just Cross stitch Christmas Ornament Mag. My Feb Ornament. It should be finished by the end of the month.

This little Red and Purple: is for a gift for a Red hat person in a group that I belong to. Yup.. Red Hats. It's sometimes the only way I get to eat out. And it is fun.
My name was drawn the last time so I need to do the gift. I thought a little cross stitch would work.
The chart is from 1999 Chartland Designs Inc. I have to modify it a bit to suit the theme of red hats but its close.

Next: I finally received the hair for the little sampler so I could frame it. He took over a year to grow enough to cut some off.

I'm going to spend some time today blogging.
Have a great day all and Stitch with Happy fingers.

The Dutch Map

I sat at this Map for a few hours and finished the little guy with the feather in his cap.
I feel like it was a little Happy Dance. I don't work on this often but it is fun. The finished piece will 34" by 34" it's about 10" by 10" now...so I have a Looooong way to go.

This week has been a poor week for stitching...Busy as usual. I hope to work on PL tonight after choir practice.

See you all soon in the blog world. I'm trying to get caught up today!

A PL update.

I forgot to post a photo of PL last week. Why you say????
Hmmm getting old I guess, I just forgot.

So here it is. I like the way it's looking. This big motif on the right is taking a long time but it sure is pretty. I worked on it for about 2 hours today. That's all the stitching I could get in.
Boy life sure gets in the way of stitching. BUT tomorrow is stitching with the Thursday group and Ann of Knowledge and Needles is back from Florida and Nashville!!!so we will stitch there again.
She tells me we will have to wait to see all the goodies she brought back from Nashville. Oh but I can't wait...LOL. She has to get it all ready and inventoried and priced and.. and.. and ..and..
I guess I'll have to wait!!!

Thank you for the nice comments I'm getting from all of you out there.
I sure helps me to stay motivated and on track.
Have a great stitching day and stitch with happy fingers.

A bit to show!

Boy I don't to seem to be getting much done these last few days.

With working the weekend and going to my DB and SIL for dinner that didn't leave any time to Blog or stitch.

I have been trying to get caught up on the blogs today.
I will do some more tomorrow.

The progress that I do have is of the Nordic angel. She has a lovely golden halo and her wings are sparkling.

Tonight is choir night. I don't get home from that until 11 pm.
Needless to say it's off to bed after that.

I hope you all have a nice evening
and stitch with happy fingers.

I've Had......

The time of my life!!!

Other than the bad weather the play was Fabulous. We had a long bus ride in a major snow storm.
Hats off to the driver because visibility was awful.

There were no disappointments at all.
The dancing and the music were wonderful.
Our very own Canadian Idol Melissa O'Neil sang the big finally with Tyler Muree.
They did a perfect job of "I've had the time of my life."

This is a photo of a couple of ladies with me.
It was a blast!

After the play we went to a Mandarin Buffet in Pickering and had a great meal.
It is The Chinese New Year and we were given the lucky red envelope with a Chinese coin in it for more Luck.
It must have worked because we made it home safe and sound.

Well I only did a little stitching today at the Thursday group. I'm hoping to get some in tonight.
I'm picking up PL today!
Stitch with happy fingers.

Dirty Dancing

First of all I want to thank everyone for their support about my decision to wait for new fabric for MG. It will be more fun for sure on Evenweave.

Next...I'm going to Toronto tomorrow to see the play Dirty Dancing. I'm going on a bus trip so I won't have to drive in the snow storm they are calling for. I loved the movie so I hope the play is as good.

Thanks again and stitch with happy fingers.

I Made A Decision

First of all I made the decision to not go any further with the Moonlight Guardian. I have a new piece of fabric ordered and will start over on Evenweave, I am stuggling to see the holes in the fabric. I have been using a magnifier and good light. I still have to keep frogging. So...I now have a lovely Bookmark!!!! I took out the few stitches I had finished on the sides and will gladly start over...We are supposed to have fun And I wasn't!

Until I receive the fabric for MG I will spend the extra time on Nordic Angel. I really am enjoying this one. She has some more hair.

I'm off to Choir Practice tonight so not much stitching today.
Have a good day all and stitch with happy fingers!

Winter Storm Watch!!!

Well I just thought I would share my trip to work today. We live on a piece of land that is like an Island I have to cross 2 bridges to get there.. The first bridge is temporary because the swing bridge is being repaired... that is a good thing but in the mean time we have a single lane bridge with a stop light. The other bridge goes over the Trent Severn waterway. [Trent river]
The first photo is coming out of our drive way. The country is not fun in the winter. Not plowed at this time [8.30am]
No I wasn't driving as I took these I was at a stop each time. LOL!!!
I was happy to get home. As a matter of fact we closed at 5 instead of 7 so we could go home in the day light.

Here is my PL that I stitched on this week. I did a little on the other projects but not enough to show at this time.
Have a good weekend all and stitch with happy fingers.
