New stash

Well once again I'm here to say hello.

I've probably lost all of my followers because of my sporadic blogging, LOL.
As you do know I was away three weeks in January on holidays and February has left me with the winter Blahs.
So I've taken up walking and Zumba. I feel much better and spring is just around the corner.

I was at Knowledge and Needles on Saturday to see the new products from the Nashville show. Yes I had to pick up a few things. There was so much to chose from.

Christin and Dani had mailed me a Christmas gift but the address was wrong so it was returned to sender. At  K&N They hand delivered it to me and the gift was so sweet . Thanks girls. Beautiful fabric and a wonderful stitched fob!!!

It was fun to see Christin, Dani, Tracy and Bonnie. We all went out to dinner after and Bonnie came back to stitch with me and watch a movie.

These are the 2 pieces I've been stitching on.
Ink Circles, winter mandala.

and John Clayton, Summer Meadow.
Well I hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of winter and ready for spring!!!

Simply Sunshine

A New project ...Ink Circles ...Garden Stars on Simply Sunshine 32 ct Lugana evenweave.
I saw this fabric at Ann's store.. Knowledge and Needles and had to have it..the colour is so vibrant.
Then I had to pick out a chart and decided on this one..I'm sticking to the colour it calls for and I'm hoping the greens will be pretty on the yellow.
What do you think?   pretty cool eh?

On the weekend at the retreat My Mom and Kathy contributed to the ornie exchange and this is what she got....it's the one Kathy made..she is just thrilled .she taught Kathy how to stitch many years ago ..so this has a lot of meaning to her...and of course Kathy has been my best friend for 30 years.

Adriana
Anne..(no Blog)  bought me this awesome yarn and gave it to me yesterday. We saw some of this type of yarn being knit on the weekend..so we thought it would be fun to try and make the scarf...yes it sure is my colour.  FUN!

Something to blog about !

I know, I know...It's been soooo long.

This will be worth the wait.
My mother decided she needed something to stitch,...I had been wanting to do this Halloween fairy so she said she would do the stitching and I did all of the BS and Beading.

Amazing!!
I have been working on a couple of other things...A Christmas ornie for an exchange in November and......of course I can't show it yet.

Gifts

Bonnie spent the day with me on Saturday...she brought me a lovely fob that she made for my birthday. The music note charm is such a wonderful touch!

She also was on a hunt for me and found this VERY pretty scissor frog for me...she has a good way with the store owner and got me a good deal!

So I've added my scissors to it and love the look.

My mother made me this lovely stitched piece and framed it herself for my birthday...it has a place of honour on my stitching cabinet.
I love it soooo much!

It was my Mothers 95th birthday yesterday and we had dinner at my brother and SIL (Both standing) My other brother is beside me with my other SIL at the end of the table. Mom at the head.

Mom enjoyed having just a small do with just her family!
It was a wonderful dinner!

My family
I am the luckiest person in the world to have my Mother and my brothers living within minutes to my home!
We are close in all ways! That in itself is a gift from God!!!

Stitches for friends!

My friend Nan is making a quilt with the  Prairie Schooler Alphabet so our Thur. group is helping her out by stitching some of the letters for her. I'm doing S is for Sewing..what a fun stitch!

Anne (Nan's  daughter) was struggling with the next piece and was going to throw it away...I volunteered to finish it for her!!! it is quite difficult because of some long crosses over 1&2
John  Clayton
This is what it will look done...It really is so lovely..I couldn't bear to see it get thrown out. I have worked on the trees and so far so good...Anne has stitched the trees on the left so she actually did quite a bit!

Have a great week all and stitch with happy fingers!
