She's tucked away.

Today my WITCH has been put away with all the other Ghostly paraphernalia. I will miss them all.

This photo is of a piece that I started about 20 years ago. I thought I was ready. Needless to say My mom finished it for me. I actually hung the witch in it's place for a month.

The black work was done by me and she did the rest.
I had it framed and it has hung in my kitchen [where ever] ever since. It is one of my favorites. I searched for the chart but it seems it was passed on a long time ago.
So I know nothing about it ...but I love it.

I hope you all had a lovely Halloween and stayed safe.
We do not get any kids at all. As a matter of fact we have had 4 kids [ all at once... whew] in 10 years. I always keep chocolate bars for them in case they come...If only they knew!!!

Today was our 10th anniversary of the day we moved into this house. Last week we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary as well.
It was a busy week. Then and now.
Well I'm off to Choir practice.
Have a nice night all and thank you for the wonderful comments!!

That is a beautiful piece. Looks like a Lanarte design to me.
No spooks or goblins at my place, and no candy in the house!

It is so sad when a piece that was delicately stitched must be put away. This porch is nice, it was nice of your mom to finish it for you, I think I would do the same for any of my kids too. Maybe if you look on ebay, you might find it and learn what you want to know about it. We get so many kids at our house, we went through one large bag of candy and a regular bag of candy bars by 7:15 p.m., I felt so bad I had to tell everyone else who came by (even with the lights off) all the way until 8:30 p.m that we were out of candy. They all had such cute costumes on. I will post a pic soon of my own daughter in her face make-up that I put on her.

The porch is so pretty! It's so nice that you worked on it with your mom. Too bad you don't get any trick-or-treaters! Do you decorate the outside of your house for Halloween? Maybe that would encourage people to stop in next year.

We recently adopted a very big black dog who loves to greet our guests, so we didn't have many trick or treaters either.

It's a sad time when you have to pack pretty stuff away to wait another year...but good too...on with the new :)
I love your framed piece. It's gorgeous...reminds me of a home in New Orleans.

Happy Anniversary!
This is a lovely piece, I can see why it's one of your favourites.
Too bad you're not closer. I could send some trick-or-treaters your way! We ended up with 110!

Hi Beatrice,

This is a beautiful piece of stitching, and the design is gorgeous. The spiral staircase
is so graceful, and pretty. I
love the framing of it, and how
it matches the room. Very nice.

We'll be celebrating 16 years in our house in a weeks time. It was a big move from our first house, which I'd lived in with DH for a year and a half after we were married. But now, having accumulated so much stuff in the years since (books) I'd really hate to have to move again.

We had 50 kids at our door on Halloween. That's about normal for us. Some cute costumes. Can't believe that it's November already though.

Paradigm Lost is going to be a fun stitch I think. I look forward to seeing your progress.

Cheers.
