Rainyday Monday

Today I went to a quilting store in the County to bye some fabric to finish my Mothers Dutch people.
While we were there we had lunch in a nice little restaurant, with a friend of mine that sings in the choir with me and is also a lovely stitcher.
The three of us had a great time at her place showing off our WIP's after lunch. It was a wonderful way to spend a rainy day.

I didn't stitch much yesterday but Saturday I worked on the castle.

I hope you all had a good weekend and got lots of stitching done.

Guess we missed out on the rain here. It was just overcast most of the day but perfect stitching weather.
The Castle looks fantastic. You're moving right along on it.
PL is looking good too. I've finally been able to get started on my CdC and I'm playing catch up now.

Hi Beatrice,

I've had fun catching up with your blog posts and seeing what your needle's been up to lately.

I love the giraffe that you stitched and made into a hanging. It's a simple but very cute design, and the material you used for the finishing is very suitable for the theme.

Lucky is ticking along nicely, and you must be anticipating a finish on this rather soon. I love seeing him come alive, and the castle that he is enveloping with is embrace.

Paradigm Lost: love the colours you're using to stitch this. I love this sort of design.

Your teapot is so pretty, and now that you're backstitching it I think it's really going to pop off the fabric. Is this a Mary Engelbreit design?? It certainly reminds me of her cheerful artwork.

I'm on vacation today and am having a pajama morning, stitching and blogging, with a purring cat by my elbow. Bliss!

Which is also what the afternoon you and your Mom spent going to the fabric store and to lunch sounded like. Is that the fabric you chose to use for the finishing in the picture? It's very nice.

Cheers.
