HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
On Jan 1st 2007 I started the SAL on the Teresa Wentzler castle. I called the dragon Lucky after the luck dragon on the movie The Never Ending Story. [one of my favorites]
I had hoped to have it done but I am soooo close I can feel it. Just a few more days. [bottom left rocks and claw]
I hope this finds you all in the best of times in the NEW YEAR !
"Thank you" for all the lovely comments and the stitching support.
It has been a wonderful year of support from my dear friends and the blogging world of stitching. I have made so many new friends and look forward to making many more.
All the best from Beatrice!

Beatrice the Barber
Two years ago my Mother made me this Santa getting a hair cut! I just love it and I made it into a cushion. I love that it is a Barber chair with Santa and my name is at the top. I have no Idea where she got the pattern ..We may have it here somewhere in our stash. It was most likely in a magazine. She always had lots of Magazines around.
I thought this would make a lovely Christmas Greeting for all of you from My Mother and I!!!!
I hope you all have a very safe and Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!
I did finish these Ornaments this week. I had stitched them in the summer and I almost forgot to finish them. I did quite a few with my Mom for her to give to the staff at the residence. We finished 16 ornaments all total.
So not a lot of stitching being done this week because of the holiday. Our choir is doing quite a bit. We sing this evening at the Christmas eve Mass.
All the Best of the season to all!

An Old WIP!!!
Last Year my SIL found this chart in a yard sale. She picked it up and my DB cleaned it up on the computer and fixed me a chart. He enlarged the pages and placed a grid on the main photo which was in pretty bad shape..We ended up with a perfect chart and I stated it last fall!...needless to say it ended up in a corner and I decide yesterday that I should start working on it again.
I was working on the PL at the time and well...You know how hard that is hard to put down. I was working on it yesterday thinking today would be a shopping day!
I woke up this morning to more snow so guess what I moved my self over to the frame and took up a needle and worked on the map. It is 35in.sq. So It will take a lot of time but I think I can pick a day to work on it again! Tuesdays maybe!
In the meantime here is a photo of the Paradigm Lost update. This is so fun!I hope those that are in the snow stay safe and warm. And those of you that are in the sun stay safe and cool!

Seasonal stitching
This is what we woke up to this morning . This was taken out of my kitchen window. It snowed all day yesterday we had 25cm. My DH is plowing the driveway. He likes to do it and that suits me just fine. The sun is shining and it is very pretty. I'm happy I didn't drive in it yesterday. We elected to stay home all day.

Cross Stitch Christmas Dec 2004
The Cross Stitcher Christmas Special Dec. 2005
This week I did some work on things for Christmas for my Mom so not a lot of a stitching,
I did work on the Castle and Paradigm Lost.
But rather than bore you with updates today I thought iI would share some works I did a couple of years ago.
The Noel I framed myself. I ordered a frame to fit and put it in . It wasn't to hard to do just making sure it was lined up properly..
The star and pointsettas are done in a cubit. I like that look a lot for a small piece. It is 5in. sq.
I will post some update on my wips in a few days.

Yippee..it's here
Misty sent me the most gorgeous Ornament for the exchange we did.
I LOVE IT. Isn't it pretty?? It has lots of beads on it so it sparkles.
She sent with it an Angel Ornament beading kit. I do so love to bead so this will be done before too long.
Thanks again Misty!
I have been working diligently on the Castle the last few days was Back Stitching. And I did lots as you can see!
The bottom left corner rocks is all that is left to stitch.
I hope to have it done by the end of the year because I will start a new project on Jan.1 2008
Today I will work on the Paradigm Lost so I hope you all have a great day and Stitch with Happy fingers.

Let me introduce you!!
This is Oliver my Great Nephew.
He will be 1 in Jan.
He was most impressed with my beads around my neck. He had more fun playing with them than the toys!
I only see him every few months because they live a 3hr drive away. And they are in a snow belt so I don't know when they can get here again.
My Mom was so happy to see him. He is a big boy!!!
I also added a stitch that I did a couple of years ago from a magazine..
I used Whisper for the beard and fur. That was the first time I used it and I like the effect.
I hope to do some stitching today after I get some things done around here!
Have a great day and stitch with happy fingers.

Some up dates
I managed to put a few stitches on PL this week and the Teapot is getting some attention as well.
I did some backstitching on it and I like how it looks.
I have to say I will be working on the castle this weekend but I have company coming tomorrow My nephew and his wife and little great nephew. Oliver will be 1 in Jan. So I look forward to seeing him, it has been 4 months. He is almost walking I here. They are here for their Christmas with my Brother, SIL and family. I wish they didn't live so far away.
I'm off to watch a Canadian sport and pass time Curling on TV. I know they play in the states but not as much as they do here as far as I know . We are both quite addicted and it is a great sport to stitch to, so... the Castle in hand and the rock on the ice...HURRY ...HARD....
Bye for now.

What a Week
As you know the flatfold's were done on Wednesday. So that started the busy week.
The rest of the week my spare time was spent finishing this Quilt for my Mother. She stitched the pieces over the last few months and We went to get the fabric in the county a few weeks ago, so this was the week to put it together. She helped me to measure and cut and stitched it after I turned it. She really wanted to be a part of the finish ,she just doesn't use the machine anymore. I was happy to do it for her but I'm not crazy about quilting. [She is 91] I love the way it turned out.
The rest of the week was shopping and choir. Work 10 hrs Friday 9hrs Saturday, Christmas party Sat. Night. Company for the day Sunday after Church. They left at 9pm last night and now I'm resting!!!!Whew!!!
I'm going to do laundry and stitch all day.
We have Snow and Ice outside, so no point in going anywhere.
The roads are so BAD!!!
I'm going to read up on some blogs. Have a look at Karen's blog she got a cute little gift!
Thank you for your lovely comments.

Lots of Fun
My Internet wasn't working so it took me a while to get this posted.
On Wednes day a few of us got together to make some flat folds .
We had so much fun, Barb was there to assist us and guide us through the process. When there are a few people it is much more fun. We laugh and glued and then had tea and cookies thanks to Ann
of Knowledge and Needles.
She has also put up a few photos. check it out. She wrote what they all are so I won't repeat.
Thanks Barb for all your help and Thanks Ann for your hospitality!!! She made cookies for us yummmmm! See even one of her dogs Molly was trying to convince Mom she should have one too!!.
I'm off to work today so have a good day all and stitch with happy fingers.

More wall .
I was finally able to sit down tonight and stitch on the Tour des Marques. I can even see where I'm building another wall. There are many color changes in this, but.. an interesting piece.
We are off to visit my DH's parents tomorrow . They are in a nursing home about an hour away. So the day will be booked up. I will take some stitching but I don't expect I'll do much. I like to have it in the car in case we get held up some where on the road!
The weather doesn't look good and if it is bad we won't go...We'll hold off for a day or so. They are both doing well just elderly and need some care!
Take care and thank you for your great comments.

Some catching up!
I don't have much to show you from the last few days...Oh a little on the castle but not much to see on that.
This was stitched by me in Dec. of 2005.
It is Starry night by Prairie schooler.
I think it is so pretty, Very sparkly! There are 5 more in the book no.109. I will have to do some more. I framed it myself!
This week has been very busy.
We did the renovations in the kitchen I have posted a before and after for you.
The bench in the alcove was a catch all and my computer desk was on the other side and very small.
So.....I said one day I wouldn't mind if the bench was gone and a desk put in. So....
Here it is..It's not finished yet but you get the idea. I'm actually putting a TV on the small desk on the side. That was the desk I had across from it on the other wall.
When I get all the things back on the wall I will post it again.
I hope you all have a great weekend. Stitch with happy fingers.!

Stash for Moonlight Guardian
Last weekend at the retreat I managed to pick up the rest of the fibers that I needed for the Moonlight guardian by Dragon dreams.
I had bought the chart in the summer when I was asked to join Christin and Dani in a SAL starting Jan.1st 2008.
Christin the enabler [thanks again] sent me a bundle of specialty threads to start the kit and my Fabric is on order so it will be here on time!
This is week4 of PL and I hate to put it down.
I'm going to stitch with the ladies of the Thursday Group today...teapot day.
I hope the weather holds out. It's been freezing rain and a bit of snow. -3*c. I have choir practice tonight so I hope I can go there as well!
Have a great day all and please stitch with happy fingers.

Rainyday Monday
Today I went to a quilting store in the County to bye some fabric to finish my Mothers Dutch people.
While we were there we had lunch in a nice little restaurant, with a friend of mine that sings in the choir with me and is also a lovely stitcher.
The three of us had a great time at her place showing off our WIP's after lunch. It was a wonderful way to spend a rainy day.
I didn't stitch much yesterday but Saturday I worked on the castle.
I hope you all had a good weekend and got lots of stitching done.
