It's a Kitty

There's a Kitty on the teapot.
This is my SAL with the Thursday Stitchers and today was the day. Only got a few hours in but some progress.

I had lunch with Kathy and some ladies at Lake on the Mountain in the county. Near Picton Ont. It was a beautiful day and had a great lunch, Then we drove an hour to get back to stitch with our Thursday group which was very nice. We managed to put in an hour there.
All in all a very nice day!
I hope yours was wonderful too!!!!

Your sunflower with the kitty is very cute. I am trying to decide what I want to stitch next. It sounds like you had a lovely day, something to treasure.

Beatrice, your teapot looks great, my blue one is coming along very slowly!! Mum and I love Lake on the Mountain, we go their often and take picnics. Even in winter, we picnic in the car and watch the ferry cutting through the ice. It's a beautiful spot.

I too, love Lake on the Mountain. It is a gorgeous spot with such an interesting mystery story!...and I love looking down on Lake Ontario...where does that lake water come from?????

It looked like you had a super day for your lunch! I did a lot of camping around Picton with my boys.

I love your teapot! Kitties are a favourite of mine.

Hi Beatrice,

I really like your tea pot project. It's very colourful, and I love the kitty. I look forward to seeing more of this one.

Your Christmas design is looking good too. It really shows up on that red fabric, but in your pictures the thread looks mostly gold.

Many, many years ago I visited Lake on the Mountain with my parents. It's a very pretty place, and it would be lovely to sit and have lunch while looking out over the water. What a view.

I remember being told that the water in the lake has no visible source, no rivers running into it etc. It just sits on top of the "mountain" like a shiny blue gem. But they said that the water level in the lake always matches the level of the water in Lake Ontario. So when Ontario is low, so is the Mountain. When Ontario rises, so does the Mountain. So they figured that there must be some sort of underground connection between them. Don't know if that's still the theory these many, many years later, but that story has stayed with me.

Cheers! Judy
