I hope that you had a great weekend!!! Yesterday I worked on Lucky and finished the stitching on his wing. ...Can you see all the tiny Quarter stitches. Yikes. and I'm only 3/4 of the way through.
I took the photo this way So when I back stitch I can compare with and without BS.
The photo's of the Dutch people are being stitch by my 91 year young Mother, She received the chart from a Dutch friend who found it in a box with some very old things and gave it to my Mother. There will be 9 pieces in all and when she has Stitched them all I will make it into a Lap quilt for her.
We spent the day together at our house,after church in the AM and then dinner in the PM. We pretty much stitched all day and I took her home at 7. That seems to be our regular routine.
My DH enjoys her
company so she always loves to come here.I'm so lucky to still have her in my life and to stitch with !!!

You are so fortunate, Beatrice, to have such a close and loving relationship with your Mom and being able to stitch together. I'm sure the lap quilt will be a wonderful work of art when finished and a family heirloom.

Your trip to Stratford sure sounded like fun Beatrice. I can't remember how long it's been since I last went to Stratford and saw a play. Keep thinking every year that we should go, but we never do. It's not too far from here either, relatively speaking.
Your Mom's stitching project is cool. Something different from what the rest of us are doing. She's an amazing lady.

You're Mom is lucky to still be able to stitch. Momma had to stop that, she also used to paint a lot. Now she reads and does word find puzzles. I can't wait to see the finished lap quilt.
How lovely that you can spent time with your Mom like that. My Mom lives too far away and I only see her about once a year.

You are lucky to still have your Mum. I still have mine and my Dad, and feel really fortunate. I am greedy though, when I see them we always have two kisses and cuddles good-bye as one is never enough. They live about two hours drive from us, but I guess we only see them about once a month with all the kids activities and such. Give your Mum a hug for me when you see her.
