Lucky

Boy I'm having a bit of a time getting things going here, anyway you may have noticed a picture without a post...well you now have a post without a picture. Mind you they go together.
Lucky came to be on Jan 1st 2007 when I joined a SAL of the Castle by TW. he was named after the luck dragon in the movie The never ending story. As you may have noticed he doesn't look like him so that is why I call him Lucky.
This piece is so great to work on. As my first full TW I had to learn about blending and lots if quarter stitches.
I've been doing the back stitching as I go because there is a lot of it.
The blended threads have been put on cards and that has helped me to keep track of them.
I apologize for the mistake but if you bare with me I will get it eventually.LOL.

I love this design. I had the chart once but never stitched it. You're doing a great job - if I remember, it didn't look an easy project to stitch.

After being away all weekend I have a lot of catching up to do! The banner looks great ... love the tassel on the bottom. Lucky is coming along nicely and you are making good headway on Tour!
See you on Thursday.

Great job Beatrice. Lucky is gorgeous and you are making wonderful progress. Don't worry about photo placement. I am still having issues with them.

Lucky looks wonderful. The Castle is my favorite TW piece. Her projects are so pretty and detailed, I really admire someone that can work on one. I keep telling myself I'll do one someday, but so far haven't been brave enough to start one. However, her cute little dragon needlekeep just was listed on patternsonline and I got that one, so maybe in the near future I'll have a small TW. :)

Wow ~ Lucky is a gorgeous dragon! And I am so impressed with you tackling a TW project, those 1/4 stitches and blended threads are intimidating, but well worth the hard work. Lovely blog, Beatrice!!
