What else...SNOW !!

As
You can see our area got bombarded with snow yesterday and last night.

I did get to work at 8am [yes my DH got the driveway plowed out so I could get to work on time]. When I got there the power was out in the area so I waited in the shop and decided to go to McD's for coffee. Apparently a snowplow hit a hydro pole and knocked out a transformer. After 3 hours we headed home. It was snowing so hard it took me 45 min.[ 20 min drive]. I stopped for milk and made it home safe and sound.

Today was a very interesting day. I don't normally clean snow, Terry has a truck with a plow and a snowblower.
Today the truck got stuck in the driveway [4x4] Yup stuck. We worked on it for an hour and then I said I think we should call CAA. I did and he was here in about 1 1/2 hrs. Not bad.
Next the Snowblower blew a belt so while waiting for the tow the belt got replaced.
In the mean time I cleaned a bit of the front sidewalk for emergency purposes I might have been the emergency...I was VERY careful for those of you that know I have angina. I'm fine!

The pictures tell the tale. That is not the sidewalk I cleaned!

I wonder if the dogs realize that the fence is only 1 foot from the top of the snow. They could almost step over it...lol . Fortunately they are heavy and push the snow down. That is a 4 ft fence.

I did stitch on MG last night so I showed that as well!

I hope you all stay warm and and those of you that are in a warm climate...stay there. We have more to come.

It is March Break in Ontario.
So I imagine the kids are happy with this to ski and play in the snow.

Stitch with happy fingers!

Wow, you got a ton of snow. I can't believe how much snow some areas have gotten this year. MG is looking great, you've made good headway on your restart. Your earlier post of Angel and PL looked lovely as well. Stay warm,
Sue

Beatrice, your pictures sure do bring back the memories of life in PA. I wouldn't mind a lttle snow but not that much. I love the color of your fabric. Such a pretty blue.

MG is coming along very nicely.
I agree, the snow is getting to be a bit much. I went out earlier and the newspaper boxes are completely buried. Just remember next week is Spring.

Looks like a day to stay indoors, sip your hot beverage of choice, and stitch. It looks like you will need an outside door on the second floor of your house soon. Your restart on MG is coming along splendidly.

Goodness, that's a ton of snow. We don't see snow like that where I live...well, we see it on TV. LOL. Sometimes I feel like we're missing out and then, I hear stories like yours and think, "Nah, I'm good."

My goodness, what a snow story! We don't have that here in Holland. I think we had 2 cm of snow once this winter. It's a pity our children don't see the real (ice skating) winters anymore (when I was a child plenty of snow and ice), but your story is the other limit, isn't it?!
Good luck and I hope you will recover soon from your angina.
Thanks for your sweet comment on my 'quiltje'. Greetings! Carolien

What a shame you went all the way into work, only to have to come back home again. The amount of snow we have been getting is crazy! I'm glad you took it slow with the shovelling.

I guess we will just have to look back on these pictures when we are complaing about the heat and humidity in July!

Your MG border is really coming along.

DH commented yesterday after the whole family spent about two hours finding the deck and driveway that he loves snow..just not all at once!

Well, I think you got hit worse than we did. We got over 15inches.
I am so sure there are snow free days ahead. At least, I keep telling myself that. LOL.

Such pretty stitching. Your efforts make me want to get myself in gear and stitch!

And such lovely snow.... from a distance! I certainly don't envy you the cold, the getting stuck, or the shovelling. :)

Glad you made it to work and back safely! I couldn't even get off of my street on Sunday morning so I didn't make it to work. My 40 min drive home on Saturday took me an hour and a half.
