Stitches for friends!

My friend Nan is making a quilt with the  Prairie Schooler Alphabet so our Thur. group is helping her out by stitching some of the letters for her. I'm doing S is for Sewing..what a fun stitch!

Anne (Nan's  daughter) was struggling with the next piece and was going to throw it away...I volunteered to finish it for her!!! it is quite difficult because of some long crosses over 1&2

 This is what it will look done...It really is so lovely..I couldn't bear to see it get thrown out. I have worked on the trees and so far so good...Anne has stitched the trees on the left so she actually did quite a bit!

1 little...2 little....

18 little pumpkins...and 10 half ones too!!!!!



I must say I love pumpkins but this was about 10 too many to stitch. It turned out pretty cute though. This will be made into a flat fold one day in Sept. We will be getting together as a group and each of us will be making a flat fold of our own!


I also finished the first 4 flip it's of Lizzie Kate's Christmas Spirit. The next 4 will be in around the end of the month. This is so much fun to do.
I feel like I have accomplished something by finishing these 2 pieces!

I'm going to work on Bling this week I haven't worked on her for a week or so.

I'm afraid I've been a bit lax with my blogging and will get caught up today. See you all soon and stitch with happy fingers!.

Thank You for the lovely comments on the Celtic Cross. It is hanging in the living room right beside the TV so we can always see it.

The Monarch Butterfly has landed and has given me a chance to take this wonderful photo!

I have been doing pumpkins. I'm half way there. It's more fun now that I'm on the finishing side.

And Moonlight guardian ..aka ...Bling has almost got a moon to see by. Boy working with rayon is an Experience I must say. Not sure I want to do so much of it again...but I think the colours are pretty. I ran out of the blue Krenic so it's on order. I can work around it so will plug along.
I'm still just working on it on Saturdays. I may have to put in an extra day soon!

It's a holiday here in Canada for most." Civic Holiday " Now that I'm not working I have an opportunity to say I don't have to do housework and laundry!

Quite the storm!

The other night I could hear some thunder in the distance so I looked out side to see this spectacular view.

About a 1/2 hour later we had a huge storm but we didn't get any damage. I know that A lot of folks have been hit hard with the weather and my prayers go out to all of you who have suffered through the many storms north and south!







On the stitching front I have been plugging away at these *@$^# ing pumpkins ..But it is coming together. It's a little boring for me so they don't get a lot of attention.







I have 2 of the Lizzy Kate Christmas spirit flip it's done and just love doing these. Aren't they just the cutest?





Tomorrow I will be spending the day at a Lilly Farm in Orno Ontario. Like I need more flowers..maybe I won't buy any...lol...
It should be interesting. I hope the weather holds for us.

I Couldn't Help it!

As you know I have Startitis and once again it flared up and I had no control......
Here is the result of that. One Celtic knot by M designs. this is my second attempt at over one. The first one was the M design Christmas tree. I now have a new addiction. I love over one and am looking at doing a HAED [heaven and earth design] Yup I'm hooked.

The other piece is a Prairie Schooler Harvest Time. As you can see the witch on a broom. This will be my flat fold for the Halloween season.

I also thought I would show you my towering herb garden. Isn't it cute??
I hope to bring it in for the winter. If it survives! So far so good.
Melanie [no blog as far as I can see] had asked about the Scenic Farm. The designer is Dimensions. It is a kit. [1997]It is a pretty piece and I'm enjoying it too.
