It's all About.....

....the start.
As you well know I have startitis!

This is the kit my friend gave me when I was sick.
It is call Scenic Farm by Demensions.
See chart here!
I think it will be a nice stitch.

Things are looking up in the health department.
I went to the doctor yesterday and he said the pneumonia is better. I was given a puffer for Bronchial Asthma [no I don't have Asthma] which I will use for 10 days to get rid of the cough. I should be clear for the concert on May 10th.

These are the people I worked with And me at my chair.
It was a great day.

Thank you for the lovely retirement wishes.
I know I will spend some more time stitching and gardening.

So I am officially retired! YIPPEE!

These flowers were sent to the shop from Christin and Dani.
Thank you so much ladies They are stunning!! I love the pretty little tea cup they came in as well.

What a day. I will post some photos after the weekend.

Dimensions Kit

Well here I am feeling much better. I actually went to choir practice this week and managed to sing.
I'm just getting back to stitching. I wasn't able to concentrate on anything too difficult. I worked on the Paradigm Lost a bit and the Moon light Guardian.. Not much to show though. I'll post those the next time I stitch on them.

A friend of mine that is in the Church choir with me and is also a stitcher, gifted me with this wonderful demensions kit designed by Mildred Sands Kratz.[ Thank you Alice...not a blogger]
I really like it and And have it all ready to go. The threads are carded and the fabric "18ct "aida is already with it. I like to work with eavenweave but this is a solid stitch so I will use whats there.

I think I will start it just to get me back in the swing of stitching again. I will probably pick a day for rotation.
The gardening has started and the sun has been good for me. We do have some rain today but that is good for the garden.
Thanks again for all the good health wishes. I'm sure they helped me get better.

See you soon.

Still a bit winded

That Bronchial Pneumonia knocked the wind out of me. I'm getting there though the drugs seem to be working. Now it's just to get my strength bank. The Doctor told me it could be a few weeks before I'm up to snuff. I am definitely going to work this weekend only 2 to go then I'm retired so I guess I should be there.

I've only stitched on these 2 pieces. Not to much thinking involved.....I can't concentrate on any thing for long.

THANK YOU for all your good wishes. I hope to be back to full swing sooooon! In the mean time I am reading blogs just not able to sit long enough to comment. So please bare with me ..I'll be back soon.
I'm going to try to go to the Thursday stitching tomorrow.

A Bit of P.L.

I have only a bit of PL to show you, it's an easy stitch so will work it an MG over the weekend.

Once again I am home from work today and tomorrow.
I went to the doctor yesterday and was told that I don't have a cold...I have Bronchial pneumonia. I knew I wasn't getting better. I was going through stages, the voice loss then the snuffles...and so on and so on. So here I am. I feel like a truck ran over me but the doctor says I'll live! lol! I am taking a very powerful antibiotic. so lets hope.
In the mean time I will try to stitch a bit. Not quite up to sitting here at the computer for long. I will check in every now and then.
I hope you all have a good weekend.

Silver medal!

Well you can all have a chuckle about this one.
We came in second place. Yup the silver medal.
Now for the fun part there were only two choral competitors and we were one of them...hee hee.
We actually did very well the other group beat us by 4 points. We got 75 they got 79 so it was a neck in neck race. We didn't go into this to win ...which is good... we thought it would be a good experience and it was. The adjudicator was very informative and kind. The director took a bit of the brunt.
Anyway my voice was back at about 70%. I would have loved to have been stronger but I'm glad I was able to join the experience.

Now back to the important stuff. I was resting all weekend no talking no working or singing. And lots of coughing!!
I didn't even open my computer up until this morning. You guys have been busy. I have 172 posts to read so, bare with me. I will catch up some time soon. I will try to comment on as many as I can.
The only stitching I did was a bit on Moonlight Guardian. I'm feeling better now so I'll See you all soon.
Stitch with happy fingers.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I'm sure my voice came back because of all your well wishes.

Lost my voice!

I took the day off of work today because I have LARYNGITIS. Can you imagine... I can't talk and I have to sing in a competition on Monday. It doesn't look good... 3 days hmmm. We'll see what happens. I don't have a solo so, as a group I might be OK. It is a bit of a cold but mostly my voice.

I started to notice it yesterday and woke up this morning with no voice .

Thus the day off. Which wasn't all bad I got my little Biscornu finished.
I think it's kind of cute.

I wasn't sure how I would finish this but It turned out the right size for a Biscornu. So here it is!

I hope you all have a good stitching weekend. The rain will keep us inside and get rid of the snow.

7 down 1 to go!!

Yes ...Here it is an update of the 7th leg done. one to go and I can move on to the next motif. This one was never ending. Isn't it pretty? One more good stitch and it will be done. I need to do a few small ones for awhile after this.

Not much news to tell you. I have a lot of singing to do this week. We are in a big completion with the Rotary festival on Monday so lots of rehearsal. This link tells you a bit about it. We are a new category so there are only 2 adult choirs in ours. It will be fun and interesting.

Have a good day and stitch with happy fingers.
