Something to blog about !

I know, I know...It's been soooo long.

This will be worth the wait.
My mother decided she needed something to stitch,...I had been wanting to do this Halloween fairy so she said she would do the stitching and I did all of the BS and Beading.

I will finish it this week so Mom can hang it on her door at the retirement home for Halloween.
This is so special for me...to have a piece we both worked on...she turned 95 this summer past.
Amazing!!
I have been working on a couple of other things...A Christmas ornie for an exchange in November and......of course I can't show it yet.

My Jardin Prive SAL.

My friend Anne was away for a few days and brought back  a gift of fat quarters for me...I LOVE them, thanks Anne.

I'm going to buckle down and do lots of stitching...need to get caught up.

I have been quilting as well, taking a class or 2 and this is the results!

Spicy spiral on my coffee table

I took a pic on the floor so you can see the colours
This has been so much fun to sew..I'm working on one for Halloween too!
Hmm maybe another blog when it's done...hahaha.
I'm so bad...I just don't have the  blogging Mojo.

I hope you are having a wonderful fall and

Gifts

Bonnie spent the day with me on Saturday...she brought me a lovely fob that she made for my birthday. The music note charm is such a wonderful touch!

She also was on a hunt for me and found this VERY pretty scissor frog for me...she has a good way with the store owner and got me a good deal!

So I've added my scissors to it and love the look.

My mother made me this lovely stitched piece and framed it herself for my birthday...it has a place of honour on my stitching cabinet.
I love it soooo much!

It was my Mothers 95th birthday yesterday and we had dinner at my brother and SIL (Both standing) My other brother is beside me with my other SIL at the end of the table. Mom at the head.

Mom enjoyed having just a small do with just her family!
It was a wonderful dinner!

My family
I am the luckiest person in the world to have my Mother and my brothers living within minutes to my home!
We are close in all ways! That in itself is a gift from God!!!

Stitches for friends!

My friend Nan is making a quilt with the  Prairie Schooler Alphabet so our Thur. group is helping her out by stitching some of the letters for her. I'm doing S is for Sewing..what a fun stitch!

Anne (Nan's  daughter) was struggling with the next piece and was going to throw it away...I volunteered to finish it for her!!! it is quite difficult because of some long crosses over 1&2
John  Clayton
This is what it will look done...It really is so lovely..I couldn't bear to see it get thrown out. I have worked on the trees and so far so good...Anne has stitched the trees on the left so she actually did quite a bit!

Have a great week all and stitch with happy fingers!

SAL and I'm on the road again.

Here  is a picture of my Jardin Prive SAL.
It is a sweet stitch.

Last night I went with my traveling friends to Niagara falls on the way to Cleveland.

Wow it was so beautiful we saw an hour and a half of fireworks from the window in the casino and had a perfect seat while we ate dinner. After dinner we walked down to see the lights at the falls. It was midnight and lovely and warm.
The morning we left for Cleveland.

pretty lights.

Tomorow we will go see the rock and roll hall of fame and some other places here in Cleveland.
We intend on seeing at least one ball game Jays vs Indians (thursday)...maybe tomorrow night we will see the Yanks vs Indians too...if we can get tickets.... we hear that it's sold out...lets hope..

I do have stitching with me but never much time to stitch.
I did quite a bit on my HAED and forgot to take a picture. I'll do that when I get home in a few days!
